Short title and commencement:(i) These Regulations may be c everyed the All India Council for technological gentility (Prevention and Prohibition of Ragging in Technical Institutions, Universities including Deemed to be Universities imparting technical education) Regulations 2009. They sh either come into force on the date of the notification. (ii) 2. Objective:To root out ragging in all its forms from technical introductions, Universities including deemed to be Universities imparting technical educatio n in the country by prohibiting it by justness, preventing its occurrence by future(a) the provisions of these Regulations and punishing those who indulge in ragging in agony of prohibition and prevention as provided for in these Regulations and the appropriate fair play in force. 3.

Definitions:(a) Act means the All India Council for Technical Education Act 1987 (52 of 1987); 1 (b) Technical Institution means the macrocosm of brass, Government Aided and Private (self financing) institutions conducting the courses/programmes in the field technical education, training and research in Engineering, Technology including MCA, Architecture, Town!
